Thursday NightsThis is our "spiritual journey" night. Each week we focus on topics of a spiritual nature. For anyone wondering if God is still relevant in a post-modern culture ... for anyone desiring a genuine, spiritual encounter ... for anyone yearning for a renewed sense of passion for life ... Thursday nights are a fresh and original perspective of life, love and redemption. Join us every Thursday from 7pm - 9pm Saturday NightsEvery Saturday night we enjoy coming together to hang out and have a great time. We offer a variety of events on the Sat. nights from "Tech Talk" sessions, to "biker-theme" movie nights, to hockey games on our 8 foot screen, to simply talking bikes and enjoying a cup of java. Join us every Saturday from 7pm - 10pm Check out the events page for a complete listing of our Saturday night activities. Bikers' Church ManifestoIn January 2005, the leadership of CCBC put together a Philosophy of Ministry. In a sense, this is our "manifesto". It explains why we do what we do. It covers how we plan to fulfill the vision we believe God has given us for being a positive influence in the motorcycle community of Ottawa. If you would like to read our Philosophy of Ministry, you can view it here. |
Our VisionThe Bikers' Church exists to share the message of God's love within the biker community of the N.C.R. and to mentor those who receive His love. However, CCBC is not exclusively for bikers. We recognize that there are many different people connected to the biker community. In fact, the Bikers' Church is open to anyone who wishes to attend our meetings. It's our desire to see CCBC be a place where everyone can feel comfortable, regardless of their background; from Christ-followers looking for a casual place to worship God, to those who have never attended church before. Our Pastor
Rev was born and raised in Ottawa. His father went to prison when Rev was a young boy, and he spent the next seventeen years in and out of prison. Rev, along with his brother and sister, were raised by his mom. When Rev was twelve years old, his mom met and married a hardcore biker. During his early teen years, Rev can remember coming home to find Harleys lining the street outside their house, and biker parties happening inside. At seventeen, Rev was introduced to God's love through the a church in Orleans, Ontario. He soon felt the call of God into full-time ministry, and headed to Bible College where he earned a Bachelor of Religious Education Degree. Rev met his wife, Heather, during his final year of college, and together they began to minister whatever way God called them. In 1999, Rev and Heather, along with their two daughters, moved back to Ottawa to begin ministry in the National Capital Region. The following year, God put a burden on their hearts to reach out to the biker community of this region. The Bikers' Church, which was launched in January 2002, is a result of this desire to touch the lives of the biker community. |
