WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT VBC?
Thursday night's service officially starts at 7:00 pm but it’s common for people to show up any time between 6:00 and 6:45 just to hang out, have a coffee, meet new people and chat with friends or play pool. At 7:00 the service starts with live or video music. SUNDAY'S get underway at 10:3am. We also offer kids programs and a nursery.
Is this a “real” church?
VBC was planted with the support of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC), a denomination that has been in existence for over 90 years.
Now, while we most certainly are a “real” church, we are anything but a “typical” or “traditional” church. We believe that church should be fun, a place of warmth, discovery and openness. A place where we can learn and grow together.
What does The VBC believe?
We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His death and resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His future return to this earth in power and glory.
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost; one to everlasting life, and the other to everlasting judgment.
We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God.
We believe in the gifts of the Spirit, including prophecy and speaking in tongues.
We believe in divine healing and miracles.
Is there a dress code?
People come as they are. The most common form of attire is jeans and a t-shirt.
What is there besides Thursday nights?
During the riding season we help out with as many of the local bike events as possible doing bike rodeo games for different groups, hosting bike rides for other groups, etc. On top of all this, we also host our own events. Every Spring we host the SWAP MEET, where we invite local groups and vendors to come and either promote or sell parts.
WE run a student ministry on Thursday nights and also our family service on Sunday mornings @ 10:30am
Do you have to own a motorcycle to attend?
VBC is open to anyone who is looking for a relaxed place to work out their spiritual journey. Many of our regulars do not have motorcycles.
Having said that, we are a bikers’ church. Obviously our focus is the motorcycle community. Anyone who attends should remember that, and not get frustrated when we are always promoting motorcycle events.
